This isn’t yet another low grade, mass produced item shipped from the East and rebranded with XYZ Developments/Tuning/Motorsport, along with a huge markup!

We’ve been making high flow downpipes for over a decade. But most recently we shook things up in 2019 with our downpipe for Mk7 Golf/S3 8v platform. The Gen4 version takes everything that we learned in the 18 months of development of the MK7 downpipe, then everything we learned from the feedback over the last 7 years in production and rolled it into what you see here today. 

You could say that there has been 8 and a half years of development in this part!

Basic spec is – 4 inch pipe to match the turbo for the first two bends, then a smooth transition to 3.5 inch, then another smooth transition to 3″ just before the properly placed and sized OEM style soft flex. 

Euro 6b Catalyst! The sharp eyed amongst you will have noticed that the catalyst is graded as Euro 6b. We thought it only right to make these with the highest grade 200cell catalyst that we could. Euro 6b is a significant step up from a normal Euro 6. It’s also the same huge 5″ diameter which we use on all of our high flow downpipes. Because we’ve put the catalyst in the OEM position, we’ve made thermal insulation standard on the catalyst versions of these downpipes.

*Adapter note- We are finding that a quite a few aftermarket 3” Catback exhausts are being made with reduced front ends to match the OEM downpipe and clamp. If you want any easy fit in this situation, you will just need the OEM adapter option.
