This is the Nomex lined coupler which you receive when you buy our charge pipe kit. We've listed this separately because if you don't shield this coupler from the direct heat of your manifold, it will likely be damaged over time.

Nomex is a flame resistant, high temperature fibre that won't melt, drip or support combustion in air so is ideal for turbo hoses between the turbo and the intercooler. Typical operating temperatures of Nomex hoses are -60 degrees  to 250 degrees celcius. The exterior of this coupler is polyester and rated to around 180 deg C. The manifold operates at temperatures around 850 to 950 deg C! In all cases, you MUST shield the coupler. If you have a Chinese tubular manifold, you'll need to spend a bit of time and money making heat shields.

If you have a Chinese, aftermarket tubular style manifold fitted to your car, you'll need a longer coupler to allow for the turbo being around 20mm out of position. If you have an aftermarket cast manifold, you may also need one of these, due to inconsistencies with the molds/castings. Please select the appropriate option for you car from the drop down list.
